Justin Dorney completed his tertiary studies in 1999 at The University of Western Australia with a double major in Commerce (Accounting & Finance) and Law.
Prior to completing his studies, Justin worked with various Government Departments including the Public Trustee as a Trust Officer handling inter vivos trust estates, and subsequently with DOCEP undertaking a review of the Retail Trading Hours Act.
Since completing his legal studies Justin has worked almost solely in the area of Family Law, firstly with a well-known boutique Perth firm. In 2002 Justin travelled to London with his family where he continued to practice Family Law specialising in high wealth and high profile matters for Clintons, one of London's leading family law firms.
After returning to Perth in 2004 Justin commenced employment with another leading Perth firm until he took over as Director of Holden Barlow Pty Ltd in 2006.
While Justin's practice focuses on financial issues arising from the breakdown of relationships, he also has considerable experience in all areas of family law including parenting and children's issues, child support and areas of domestic violence or welfare of children. Away from the office Justin enjoys spending time with his family and travelling.
Hwuey Leing Kang completed her Bachelor of Laws with the University of London in 2002.
Upon completion of her LLB, she trained as a chambering student at a legal firm in Penang, Malaysia which practices in the areas of commercial litigation, corporate and conveyancing.
She went on to work in a multinational corporation, as a legal executive in the head office before rejoining her previous firm as a solicitor in their Corporate & Conveyancing Department. During her tenure, she worked predominantly in housing projects, property settlements and commercial tenancy projects.
She also completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at The University of Western Australia in 2008 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration at Murdoch University in 2009.
Now at Holden Barlow, she practices in the area of Family Law particularly in parenting and financial matters.
Leing’s interests include badminton, travel, photography and reading. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Neela Gubbi completed her Tertiary studies in India in 2000. After securing a gold medal in Masters in Environmental law, she joined Monash University to pursue a research degree and obtained MPhil in Law.
Neela has worked with the compliance department in the utility industry in Melbourne and Federal Government departments including Centrelink and Australian Tax office.
She also completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law before being admitted in the Supreme Court of Western Australia. After working with other law firms in Perth, Neela is now at Holden Barlow and practices in all areas of Family law.
Neela enjoys reading, home economics, travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
Kevin Barry completed his bachelor’s degree in Law and German, (LLB, Ling Ger) at Trinity College Dublin in 2009, spending several semesters studying German Law at the Friedrich-Schiller Universität of Jena between 2007 and 2008.
He completed his Master of Laws, (LLM) degree in the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität of Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2011 and moved back to Ireland and took up employment in the Compliance Department of PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie investigating financial crime.
Kevin immigrated to Australia in May 2012 and worked as a Law Clerk in Carr & Co Divorce and Family Lawyers before taking up employment with Holden Barlow in September 2012.
Kevin completed his bachelor of laws equivalence studies at Edith Cowan University in December, 2012 and graduated with a Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law in September 2013.
Kevin was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in October 2013 and enjoys football, rugby and spending time with friends.
Ella Prunster completed her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology, in 2013 at the University of Western Australia. She was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in May 2014.
Prior to graduating, Ella gained experience at two criminal law firms in Perth. She then worked as a law clerk, and subsequently a lawyer, at a commercial law firm in Perth in the litigation division.
Ella joined Holden Barlow in 2014 and represents both Legal Aid and private clients. While Ella practices in all areas of Family Law, she has a particular interest in parenting and children’s issues, together with issues arising from domestic violence in a relationship. In that regard, Ella has experience representing both Applicants and Respondents in Violence Restraining Orders matters.In her spare time, Ella enjoys spending time with her family and friends, renovating her home and travelling.
Elyce Lines recently completed a Bachelor of Laws at Murdoch University in November 2014, and is currently undertaking the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with the College of Law with a view to being admitted as a Solicitor by mid-2015.
Outside of work and study, Elyce enjoys spending time with the important people in her life, travelling, and shopping.
Dani Jones is currently undertaking a double degree in Psychology and Counter Terrorism at Edith Cowan University, after which she will be eligible to register as an accredited psychologist with the Australian Psychology Board.
Her interests outside of work include travel, reading, netball and spending time with friends and family.
Lee Hong Tan Migrated to Perth, Australia, in October 2011.
She obtained a Commerce Degree (Accounting) from the Australian National University in 1986 and commenced working as an Auditor in an Accounting Firm in Penang, Malaysia.
Lee subsequently left for the United Kingdom to pursue a Law Degree at the University of Sheffield and graduated in 1996. Lee was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1998 and commenced practice as an Advocate & Solicitor in Penang, Malaysia for 13 years before ceasing practice in 2011.
